Houston, luxury overnight getaway

Yesterday when snow and ice hit Dallas and locked everything down i was just 250 miles away down I45.It was 77 degrees in Houston. I stayed at Hotel ZaZa in the Museum District. The place is stellar. The area around the hotel is beautiful. I would guess that area would compare to our turtle creek/highland park area. The hotel is twice the size of the Uptown property and shows well. The Hotel is built around the pool. If you like the Urban Oasis in Dallas, then you will love the oasis at this property. I stayed in the Bella Suite; FABULOUS. Its a two bedroom suite on the 12th floor. The hotel is 8 miles from the Galleria area, The Heights and Midtown are all within 15 minutes. i do reccomend GPS. I had one and it made things so much easier to move around. I wanted to try a restaurant that was only Houston. This city has a lot of the big names that we have Del Friscos, Arcodo..etc. I went to Benjys . Another great choice. i was at the original on Dunstan. I was told they have another location in the Heights that is much better than the original. you need to try it, definitely worth it. The staff in both the hotel, and the restaurant are so attentive. It was a good trip.
